Have you finished your PhD? Do you have a good CV, a strong research, did you receive any awards? If the answer is Yes, this is your opportunity! We would like to offer you the possibility of joining a multidisciplinary and inter-university research group, with more than 70 members (including two post-doc Marie Curie that now work with us). You can develop your research career in one of the following areas:

Blockchain – Research in the myriad of possibilities that this new paradigm of distributed database brings to the science community.

Industry 4.0 – Development of algorithms for the optimization of processes, predictive maintenance and arrest of anomalies.

Cybersecurity - Study of dangers on the internet. Prevent and avoid cyber-attacks by analyzing different data.

Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (IA) - Bioinformatics - Study of DNA microarrays from patients with various pathologies, studies at the genetic and chromosomal level through expression arrays, array CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridization) and sequencing analysis, using expression arrays corresponding to chips such as exon arrays, HG U133 plus 2.0, Affymetrix U95Av2 and BAC clones of CGH, and sequencing analysis with technology of Roche.

Internet of Things (IoT) – Implementation of wireless sensor connections and other objects and design of new algorithms for the analysis of the information received by the sensors.

Distributed Computing – Distributed Artificial Intelligence integrates concepts from two fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Systems. Artificial intelligence tries to understand the intelligence entities. The Distributed Systems field studies the properties of sets of autonomous entities that do not share memory but cooperate by sending messages to each other on a communication network.

Smart Energy – Energy efficiency through intelligent control of lighting, smart buildings, security of the network and distribution of electricity. Optimization of simulations for energy expenditure.

FELLOWSHIP OUTLINE

The fellowship may be requested by researchers of any nationality.

Nationalities that may apply:

Researchers from Europe (EU28 + associated countries)

Researchers from outside Europe (America, Asian, Australia, Africa, etc.): International Incoming Fellowships (IIF). The fellowships last between 12 and 24 months.

ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

The funding covers (A) salary, (B) mobility allowance, (C) research expenses, and (D) indirect costs during the duration of the fellowship:

A) Gross salary is contingent on proven experience: ~ 57.000€/year - ~ 85.000€/year

B) Mobility allowance is contingent on family obligations: ~ 700€/month - ~1.000€/month

C) Other research expenses: 800€/month: Researcher’s allowance = A+B+C

The deadline for submitting CVs is the 14th of August. Submission of applications on participants’ portal is open until the 12th of September.
