Descripción
The Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Group (http://www.cnio.es/ing/grupos/plantillas/presentacion.asp?grupo=50006362) is part of the Human Cancer Genetics Programme at the CNIO and is focused on both methodological and applied aspects of research into the genetic and environmental etiology of bladder, pancreatic and breast cancers. We aim at modeling de factors participating in cancer risk and clinical course by integrating epidemiologic, genetic, genomic and clinical data. The group participates in a number of large international consortia, taking a lead role in the design, implementation and analysis of association studies of these three diseases. We gather a huge amount of epidemiological, clinical, biological (omics) data from each individual participating in our studies and need to manage them appropriately. We use REDCap and explore next-generation databases to this end. We are currently seeking an Informatician / Data manager to join our Group.

Criterios de evaluación
- Degree in Computer Science.
- Professional experience:
• Relational database design, implementation and maintenance.
• Data Cleaning/Curation and Open Source Data Warehouses (TranSMART, and eTRICKS).
• Data mining.
• Clinical standard CDISC and laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Languages Python, CSS, HTML.
• Cancer research and epidemiological methodology.
- Technical skills:
• Operative systems: LINUX, Windows 8-10.
• Programming languages: R.
• Database design: MySQL, Oracle, ACCESS.
• Research electronic data capture application REDCap.
• Biostatistics.
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
