The successful candidate will integrate into a dynamic multidisciplinary team (biotechnology, engineering, chemistry, pharmacy) developing novel therapies against cancer in the framework of the Advanced Grant CADENCE. This project investigates the use of catalytic nanoparticles as novel tools to modify cancer metabolism, and their efficient delivery to tumors using nanoscale vectors.

Main duties:
-Tissue culture techniques. Metabolism studies. Survival curves, Kinetics, metabolite determination, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry.
-Isolation and characterization of microvesicles. Western blot, flow cytometry, PCR, DNA extraction and protein quantification.
-Development of cancer models in small animals (rat, mouse) for testing and determination of various therapies. Dissection and extraction of different organs. Tissue and organ post-mortem analysis by different techniques.
-Synthesis and analysis of nanoparticles. Internalization in cells.
-Participation in the organization of the laboratory and in the coordination and supervision of the group.
‐ Elaboration of summary reports and presentations (English preferentially).
‐ Preparation of scientific works and periodic reports.


Información complementaria de la oferta:
Requisites:
EDUCATION: Doctorate in one of the following. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Biomedicine, Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE on cancer metabolism.

In addition, the following will be considered a plus:
-Spanish accreditation for animal experimentation: Functions B and C.
‐Experience state‐of‐the‐art tissue culture techniques.
-Experience in fluorescence microscopy.
-Experience in flow cytometry.
-Experience in Molecular Biology techniques.
-Experience in Isolation and characterization of microvesicles.
-Experience in animal models.
‐Experience in the synthesis and bioconjugation of nanomaterials.
