Fellowship to offer: call for Marie Curie Post-Doc

Más información

The H12O-CNIO Lung Cancer Clinical Research Unit, led by Dr. Luis Paz-Ares, combines basic preclinical studies with clinical and translational research in lung cancer. Our main research lines are focused on the identification of new molecular biomarkers that can be used in the clinic for diagnostic, prognostic, predictive and pharmacogenomic purposes in lung cancer, and the development of novel treatment strategies in this area.

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD to apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowship within our H12O-CNIO Lung Cancer Clinical Research Unit. We have already been accepted as a host centre for the RESPIRE3 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Program and are now seeking for suitable candidates with a true interest in pulmonary research and a strong background in bioinformatics. We aim for a candidate to apply to the 2-year European Fellowships call - candidates of any nationality to come to or move within Europe. Trans-national mobility is required. The candidate should hold a PhD or have at least 4 years of full-time research experience, with at least one first author publication. A fluent level of spoken and written English is required and a good command in spoken and written Spanish is highly desirable. Full information on all eligibility criteria in 2017 Application Guidelines.

RESPIRE3 is an international, inter-sectoral and inter-disciplinary programme providing Marie Skłodowska-Curie post-doctoral research fellowships to early stage scientists with the potential to become the leaders of tomorrow in the respiratory field. It is co-funded by the European Union’s (EU) Horizon 2020 and the European Respiratory Society (ERS), under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 713406.

The willingness to work in a multidisciplinary project together with molecular biologists, oncologists, pulmonary physicians, pathologists, etc, is required. Knowledge of molecular biology concepts and experience in biomedical research is desired. The candidate will work with RNAseq data, DNAseq data, and other clinical parameters from lung cancer samples in order to establish relationships within samples and discover novel subgroups of patients.

Deadline for the pre-application is 15 November 2017 but an earlier application would be welcome. Final Deadline for submission is 1 December 2017.

Please enclose a CV, certificates, a short summary of your research interests, a method list, and the names and contact details of at least two references in your application. Application by e-mail.
